Congratulations to the new MR+MRS Santos! We had a the pleasure of helping Paige and Ed (friends call him Wayo) plan their wedding from the very beginning in 2019. Paige and Wayo envisioned a elegant hill country wedding. Like many others, due to the pandemic, we shifted their October 2020 date to a May 1, 2021 date and changed venues, which totally worked out in the end! Paige and Wayo had a destination wedding in New Braunfels, TX - they came all the way from Chicago! The color palette was plum and various shades of purple. To soften the look, we incorporated ivory and greenery. Paige and Wayo's guest book was a wooden sign with their names & wedding date, which is to be hung in their new home. Friends and family wrote sweet messages and well wishes on the board. A personal touch that we adored so much were the escort cards. Attached to each escort card was a vintage airplane bottle opener with a tag that said "adventure awaits." The meaning behind the airplane: Wayo is a pilot. This was actually a surprise to him from Paige, so cute! Wedding day weather was very rainy, but when it was time for the First Look, photos & ceremony, the rain stopped - absolutely amazing!
The ceremony took place in the beautiful, white chapel... which is weather proof by the way! Wayo truly cared about one thing - the string music for the ceremony. The string trio played a set from Forrest Gump for the entire ceremony. It was very sweet and such a lovely touch. After the I DOs, Paige and Wayo rung the chapel bell, ding dong! Guests enjoyed cocktail hour with appetizers, delicious margaritas and, of course, a mariachi band. Paige and Wayo made their grand entrance to the reception and went right into dinner. We all toasted to the newlyweds during dinner and then kicked off the festivities with their first dance. Paige and Wayo danced their first dance to "To Love Somebody" by The Revivalist.
