Their Love Story
Zak and Naomi met in May, 2022 in Dallas, Texas. In the age of apps and technology, they met on a dating app called Hinge. If anyone knows Hinge, you know it can be scary… After they finally got through the scary individuals, they found and matched with each other. Zak commented on a picture of Naomi at a Rangers game wearing Astros apparel and said “I bet I can make you a Ranger fan.” Zak was on a road trip series while they acquainted with one another via text messages. Zak asked if they could FaceTime each other and once they did, they hit it off. Zak quickly asked her out on a date when he got back from the road series on a Sunday evening. Immediately that Sunday, his game was delayed and the date was in jeopardy. When Zak finally arrived back in Dallas late Sunday evening he asked if he could still take her on a date. Naomi bravely said yes, knowing good and well she had work early the next morning. Zak pulled up to her apartment and met Naomi and her best girl, Olive. They talked the whole night and laughed a lot. Zak was getting ready to leave because it had gotten to the early morning and didn’t want to overstay and planned on driving home. Naomi quickly decided that it was unsafe for him to drive back. She strongly and firmly stated that he was not going to leave and drive back to Frisco this early in the morning. Gladly, Zak said yes and instantly they fell in love with one another on a rainy bleak night in Dallas, Texas. The rest is history….
Wedding Day
Congratulations to the new MR+MRS Kent! We had a the pleasure of planning and designing Naomi & Zak’s wedding from the beginning of their journey. Living out of town, while traveling, can pose certain challenges, which is why N+Z found us to help plan their beautiful wedding. The decor was simply timeless with the color palette of black and white, with gold and glass accents. The black and white dance floor was the statement piece that tied the vision together. We chose to have the tables surround the dance floor to make it feel more intimate. There were a mixture of centerpiece designs: tall and low floral arrangements, which were created in all white florals, and candle designs. Disposable cameras were placed at each table so guests could capture this special day more candidly. A cute touch that N+Z created were large canvas displays of his, hers & their life together. Before N+Z tied the knot, first look moments took place with Naomi+bridesmaids, father of the bride and lastly, Zak got to see his bride. These are always such special moments that are shared privately. After a little photo session, Naomi, Zak & the bridal party relaxed in the bridal room while guests arrived. N+Z said I DO at 4’o clock on a beautiful November day. During happy hour, guests enjoyed sipping cocktails and taking selfies with the beer burros. To kick off the celebration, our newlyweds made their grand entrance into the reception, and then dinner was enjoyed by all. Before cake cutting, our newlyweds popped champagne and poured it over a vintage coupe glass tower. To open the dance floor, N+Z danced their first dance as husband and wife to “Fame and Fortune,” by Elvis Presley. The night was full of love, lots of laughter, photo booth fun and dancing. Of course, the night would not be completed until the mac n’cheese bar was savored by guests. Naomi+Zak soaked up all the wedding day feels during their private last dance to “Shake The Frost,” by Tyler Childers. Sparks flew as N+Z bid farewell to their friends & family.
